Q: Do you accept my insurance?

A: In order to keep our practice overhead low and affordable to you, our clients,  we will give you a coded bill that you may submit to your health insurance company for reimbursement consideration. Please call your insurance company to see if Physician House Calls are covered. Please call if you have any questions.

Q: What is the cost of a visit?

A: Presently, the cost of a visit is much less than a trip to the Emergency room or Urgent care clinic. We offer discounts, special pricing and payment plans depending on your needs. Please call if you have needs or issues. We will try to work them out.

Q: What is your coverage area?

A: We cover within a 15 mile radius of  Montgomery County Maryland. and certain parts of DC and Virginia. Call for further clarification.

Q: What are your business hours?

A: Normal business hours are 9 AM to 9 PM seven days a week.   A surcharge will be added if you need to see the doctor outside of normal business hours and on holidays.

Q: Do you see children?

A: The practice is limited to ages 12 and older. Possible exceptions  over the age of 10 with parental permission. Please call for further clarification.

Q: Will you be my primary care physician?

A: Yes, we provide primary care on a regular basis once you are an established patient. Due to the limitation of a home visit, we are unable to provide certain exams, but we are happy to work in coordination with other physicians and health care facilities to make sure you obtain the best care possible.

Dr. Kinney is great. I live in Arlington and it was my first time calling a house call doctor. We had a back injury and wasn’t able to get out of bed, so it was either get a doctor to come to the house or call an ambulance. Dr. Kinney was very helpful and thoroughly explained our various options,  solving our dilemma. He was very communicative, talking through the limits of what we’d be able to address and what would need further care. He also followed up later that evening just to make sure everything was alright.

If I could award MORE than 5 stars I would. My 95 year old father was visiting me from NYC and woke up feeling so unwell he couldn’t get out of bed. He has a pretty significant and somewhat predictable medical history, but his episodes always mean a trip to a doctor- or sometimes an emergency room, if we can’t get an appointment. Untreated he has developed bloodstream infections that always mean long hospital stays and can be fatal.  With my father’s own doctor 5 hours away and no easy way to transport my dad to an urgent care or emergency room, I called Dr. Kinney.  He listened carefully, asked questions and arranged to have a phlebotomist come to the house to collect blood and urine specimens. Chris, the phlebotomist, was drawing blood less than two hours later. He too was efficient, professional and kind.  By 6:00pm Chris texted to say that the blood test results had been sent to us and not ten minutes later, Dr. Kinney called to interpret and explain them. What a team! Treatment was started and my father was truly able to sit at the table with us a few hours later.  I am extremely grateful to Dr. Kinney for his kindness, his willingness to help, his expertise and his ability to organize all of the testing without having to get my dad up and out of bed. Furthermore his prompt follow up was most impressive, and he assured us that if we need a visit tomorrow, we just need call.  This is medical care the way we can usually only dream about. Compassionate, informed, practical, humane and effective. My unreserved recommendation of Metro Direct Medical Care, Dr Kinney and his team.

He visited my mother at home and he did not just take my mother’s medical information. instead, he was open and communicative and he took the time to fully go over her problem.
He was incredibly friendly and made her feel very comfortable.

Dr. Kinney was a godsend. 2 years ago my 93-year-old father needed urgent medical attention. During previous illnesses, his stays in a hospital were catastrophic, e.g. he would pull tubes out of his arms when unattended. We found Dr. Kinney on the internet, he responded immediately, and quickly took care of my dad’s condition. Since then he visited my dad as needed, basically until the day he died in his sleep at home two months ago. Dr. Kinney was the ideal physician for my father.

He called me back within 30 minutes of my calling him last night and set up an appointment for this afternoon.  
He was actually early arriving, and was at our house for about an hour.  He saw my 91 year-old mother and was wonderful with her.  He was generous with suggestions for continuing care and was not in a hurry to rush off; he answered all of my questions thoroughly.
So now you know who you can call if you need a house, office, or even hotel call
(for when Aunt Sue catches the flu next time she’s visiting!)

I tried to get an appointment with an Ear, Nose and Throat Specialist.
I was told I could not be seen for a few days. I called Dr Kinney at Metro Direct Care Medical. He was at my house that evening. I was feeling better within two days!  I submitted his bill to my insurance company for reimbursement.

The MRI taken revealed a herniated disc that would most probably have to be operated. So your diagnosis was perfectly right, (sadly!). Nevertheless, I enjoyed very much meeting you, and had much better feeling afterwards.
It was also a good decision to fly home, and the flight was comfortable.

Dear Dr. Kinney

You treated my wife last week for an urinary infection while we were at Washington.

She started her antibiotics and  the fever disappeared in 12 hs and presented no further symptoms in 24hs. We are now back home without any complications. She will see her doctor on Monday but we think she is already fine.

We would like to thank you very much  for you kindness, care and attention to details.
